Hello Dear Friends and Readers and welcome to today’s post. Previously I have posted Part 1 and 2 of this new quilt top. In case you missed the posts, here are the links to them both. All the requirements and cutting instructions are contained in these two posts. For those of you who are new to this pattern it is a combination of machine piecing for the diamond blocks and hand piecing to put the quilt rounds together.
Scrappy Diamonds Kaleidoscope Beauty Star Medallion Quilt – Part 2
So without any further ado we will continue with Scrappy Diamonds Kaleidoscope Beauty Star Medallion Quilt – Part 3
At the end of part two we had finished Round 4 and it looked like this.
Now we will continue to Round 5 and 6.
Round 5
Using 18 of the Scrappy Diamonds Blocks, As for Round 3, make 6 of these three diamond units.
Using a further 12 of the Scrappy Diamonds Blocks, sew together six of these two diamond units.
Sew the three diamond units to the “flat” sides of the quilt then sew the two diamond units to the “V” sides of the quilt.
Round 6
For Round 6 we will now be working on the aqua background diamonds.
Using the same placement for the aqua diamond s in row 2 and 4 sew 18 aqua diamonds to the perimeter of the quilt.
Thank you for joining me today. I will be back with Part 4 down the track.
