Tattered Heart Quiltlet

Tattered Heart Quiltlet

Hello Dear Friends and Readers and warm welcome to today’s post. As Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, I thought we needed a quick heart project to mark the day, or actually to use any time that you like!

Some years back, I posted a quick kettle quiltlet, which has been quite popular, I have made several myself. I find them to be so handy around the kitchen or really anywhere that needs a bit of fabric underneath to rest on like the kettle or as a hot pad or even underneath plant pots or as a place mat or even in the bathroom. They are so quick and easy, it’s a very satisfying little project which you can have done in a short period of time. Kettle Quiltlet and Tutorial

With all those things in mind, I then designed a Tattered Heart Quiltlet. I made one years ago and it has endured many washings and even some hard use. Regardless, it still washes up even more prettily each time.

Don’t you just love a project, which uses up all those small pieces of batting, flannel or flannellette? I know I do. This project is Fun. It is made with 5 inch squares so it is simple and easy to do. Because it is a rag project, it comes together very quickly. Find your favourite 5 inch squares and let’s get to it.

A fun quick project to add a little sweet heart into your day.💖

I am sewing on a Singer 201k treadle today. Singer 201K Treadle C1947. This is one of my favourite machines to sew with. I have attached a Singer low shank Walking Foot today the machine.

TIP

A walking foot is advantageous but not essential.
